Awards / Honours

Manissha's voyage into art started at a young age, at 10 when she designed for a design house in Jaipur and was honoured with art proficiencies throughout heracademic years. Formally trained from Triveni Kala Sangam she also had the opportunity to work with different professionals from J J School of Arts, Mumbai ; Kanoria Centre of Arts and C N Vidyalaya of Arts, Ahmedabad. Along with oils on canvas, Manissha has experimented with many mediums including acrylics,chalk pastels, cloth, charcoal, fibre glass sculptures and calligraphy art. Born in New Delhi, she graduated from Delhi University and simultaneously pursued a merit diploma in fashion technology and multimedia.Manissha has been a fashion lecturer and texture-art cum fashion columnist in 'Times of India' and 'Stree' newspapers in Ahmedabad. Also worked as a graphic artist in Cyberlink (IT Company) in Ahmedabad.Currently pursuing Masters in Arts Psychotherapy from LaSalle College of the Arts, Singapore. Manissha made her recognition in the contemporary art world with her distinct style of experimentation, exploration and acceptance of discrete perceptions. Her creations can be rightly categorized as the 'Journey Within' whereby her works have both surfaces and depth, higher levels of spiritual elevation and they embrace the admirable contours of figurative art while using metallic rich colours that make of artistic meaning. She has been a core volunteer with the ‘Art of Living” since 2006 helping in the organization of the workshops for yoga, meditation and knowledge working towards a better society. Also she is associated with Khushii : Kinship for Humanitarian Social and Holistic Intervention in India, NGO working for the upliftment of children and women.
