Paramjeet Singh was born in 1941 in Jamshedpur. He broke away from family traditions to study at College of Art, New Delhi, graduating in 1961. Paramjeet began his career as a lecturer at College of Art, New Delhi. He experimented with silk screen printing, guided by Jagmohan Chopra. He received several awards, including the National Award from Lalit Kala Akademi and the President of India’s Silver Plaque from AIFACS. Paramjeet worked in the same medium for thirty years, exploring his inner world. His paintings express human inner feelings, positivity, and personal space. He held fifteen solo shows and participated in international exhibitions in Korea, Mexico, London, and other countries. Paramjeet’s art is a creative journey, subtly relating human figures in silent communication. His works connect beyond the physical world, inviting viewer interaction. His artistic expression is a never-ending process. Paramjeet’s art has been recognized globally. He is a Kala Vibhushan awardee from AIFACS, New Delhi.
