R. L. Verma, an accomplished industrialist and artist hailing from Ambala Cantt, founded a collective that later attracted artists from Rohiak and various regions of the state. Since 1981, this group has been dedicated to promoting the art scene by organizing the All India Exhibition of Art on an annual basis. They conduct workshops, seminars, and group shows to bolster the artistic movement throughout the state and the North West region. Notably, their 9th All India Art Exhibition took place in 1994.
Haryana’s artists, through their dedication and authenticity, have steadily carved out their reputations and achieved recognition in the modern art landscape. Among them, veteran artist and founding president of the Creators, R. L. Verma, stands out. Beyond his industrial pursuits, Verma paints for the sheer joy of creation. Although his style leans towards realism, his compositions, use of linear effects, and color application are truly remarkable. Drawing from the world around him and the beauty of nature, he has developed a distinctive quality and presence in his work that is singularly his own.
