The Kabir project is a continuation of my earlier theme-based exhibitions under the banner SUFI (Sculptors United Forum of India) 2005.
The ‘moment of knowing’ is when we can contemplate and connect with the deeper feelings of humanity with the dohas of KABIR. To stand up collectively to absorb the reflections of the societal concerns through paintings, weaving, stitching, installation, poetry, writing, and video installation.
We plan to further our philosophy of inclusivity through articles, singing in the gallery space, and performances, as these initiatives point to the future.
I want to thank all the participants for making this dream project a success.
I thank Aparna Anand Singh for walking along as each day unfolded.
I thank Durga Kainthola for the final display. I hope this Sufi situation continues to behold and mystify and allow us to become one with the confluence of mind and matter and future also. -Shubhika Lal
