Ashis Mondal (born 1978, Kolkata) is a contemporary artist whose work explores inner energy, transformation, and the human spirit. A graduate of the Indian College of Art and Draftsmanship (Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, 2001), he has pursued painting with dedication for over two decades, presenting his vision through solo and numerous group exhibitions in India and abroad.

Rooted in Cubism yet filtered through a highly personal lens, Mondal’s work frequently features the horse as a motif, symbolizing primal vitality, time, movement, and adaptation. He has held solo shows in New Delhi and Kolkata and participated in over a hundred group exhibitions across India, Europe, and the Middle East.

His contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Nidhu Roy Award (2020, Bangladesh). Living and working in Kolkata, Mondal continues to explore art as a journey of emotional depth and transcendence.
