Mohammed Suleman (born 1981) is an accomplished contemporary visual artist from Dalsingsarai, Samastipur, Bihar, who brings together mythology, symbolism, and abstraction in his creative practice.
After completing his BFA from BHU, Varanasi in 2005 and his MFA from the College of Art and Craft, Lucknow in 2007, he continued his academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in Painting at Mangalayatan University, Aligarh.
Suleman’s works are deeply rooted in Indian mythology, yet reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective. His canvases often feature symbolic figures such as Ganesha, Shiva, Krishna, and Nandi, reimagined through abstract forms enriched with floral and leafy motifs.
His artistic career includes solo and group exhibitions in reputed galleries and museums across India and abroad. He has received the National Scholarship, Junior and Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, along with awards at several national and international platforms.
