Girish K. Adannavar, born in 1973 in Nipani, Karnataka, is a contemporary Indian visual artist known for vibrant colors, figurative narration, and expressive human themes. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, he often depicts young people in traditional rural attire engaged in everyday scenes, marketplaces, drummers, women with birds, and couples in harmony. His rich, saturated palette lends a lyrical vibrancy to his subjects.

Trained in fine art drawing and painting, including studies at Bangalore University, Hubli, Adannavar has participated in national and international exhibitions. He has held solo shows in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, and abroad in Boston, Singapore, London, and Washington D.C.
