Prabir Roy, born in 1954, was a very senior and experienced Sculptor-Artist from Kolkata. He completed his education in B Sc Hons (Zoology), B.Ed. He received Academy Award at the All India Annual Exhibition by Academy of Fine Arts (1993), the India Culture Trust Award by Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata (1998) and the Rajya Charu Kala State Award, West Bengal (1998). He was a founder member of ARTIST GROUP ‘ERA’, and a member of Kolkata Sculptors.
The collection of his beautiful artworks is with many individuals & corporate in India, Switzerland, New York, Bangladesh, Dubai, Germany, Malaysia & other countries.
