Graduated from Govt College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, 1967. Worked as curator, National Memorial (Cellular Jail), Port Blair. Recipient of a fellowship in Mural Painting. Recipient of the Chief Commissioner of Andaman & Nicobar Islands commendation certificate. National Awards for Teachers in 1986, Gold Medal for designing pavilion (IITF) in 1991, 1994 & 1997. Participated in various group exhibitions at Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai, Silchar, Port Blair, Santiniketan, and with The Canvas Artist’s Circle. Participated in the Annual show organised by the Birla Academy of Art & Culture. Academy of Fine Arts in the year 2005-09. Participated in Rabindranath Tagore 150th birth centenary exhibition sponsored and organized by Govt. of West Bengal at newly opened Gallery in Kolkata. Member of The Canvas Artists’ Circle, Kolkata.
